What If The Math Classes Don’t Work?

by | May 15, 2020 | Video

You ask, hey.. what if my child comes for your classes every week and we still don’t see any improvement in his marks.

Perhaps.. that could be a possibility. Even though we guarantee that we will do our best to help every child that walks through our doors, ..even after doing whatever we can,.. whatever we need to do, …and your child still did not meet your expectations.

Well, it is not that the classes don’t work. It all boils down to expectations, goals and at which level the students were when they first come to us.

From our experience, the classes work when

  • children are motivated to learn. They attempt questions in class and discuss answers and mistakes
  • students have an open mind to learning new methods and more challenging questions
  • for those who learn slower, students are willing to work hard, retain what they learn.
  • we have an open communication with parents so that we work together in the best interest of the child

At the end of the day, even if attending classes here did not translate into the high scores that would meet parents’ expectations, we know that all our students have been given personal attention to, taught well in the classes and encouraged to believe in themselves and to never give up.

And that is valuable in itself even if our classes don’t work as expected.
